As scientific artist one of my works determined pictograms, what are giving you the same impression in the mirror, but with a very different signature or meaning. I call it "Working on mirror neorons". 
Let me start with a simple sign: 人. Originally it is slanting to the right side. The meaning is "person". Slanting to the left is shows "entering". 入, well the typesetting is fortunally different from handwriting. (example given)
入(chin ru, jap. iri or NYU). 人(cin. ren, jap. hito). 
The americam professor xy was asked by zipOz, how to build pictograms what are still useful and readable even in 10.000 years or more, in times when the writings and languages are not understandable anymore. This seems to be useless, you might think, but if nuclear waste cannot be dumped easily, it can be a sucessful warning.
It took a long time and much money to find out, that it was impossible to draw any root sign. If even the shape of a regular human body will change, a view on such a sign might give the ordinary question: what kind of animal was able to sketch a thing like this? Wolf Orschakowski - Tschaikowsky made the proposal to print one head only, due to his childhood sketches. His vision was that in 10.000 years ahead bodys getting smaller, because body movement will become useless. Only head functions are still in need: phantasy, fiction, imagination. 😇
